Layfield Plastics Incorporated, a member of The Layfield Group of Companies, announced the successful acquisition of the business assets of CW Neal Corporation in April 2004.

Tom Rose, President of The Layfield Group, stated that "CW Neal's international leadership position in floating cover systems and custom baffle products combined with Layfield's leadership position in geomembrane technology will create the synergies necessary for operation as a leading environmental solutions provider."

The business now operates as Layfield Environmental Systems Corp. based on San Diego, California and is being recognized as a global leader in geosynthetic floating cover systems and as a fabricator and installer of geomembrane containment products / water control baffle systems.
